Yuval Dainzon | Research Assistant
Background: I am currently a passionate third year student in the department on of Materials engineering (B.Sc) at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. As a lab manager I am learning about the ways a research lab works and functions in the study of meta-stable and structurally-complex materials, the different problems that arise in managing a lab that works with nano-materials. All the different subjects studied at the lab show me the huge variety of what it is to be a Materials engineer in nowadays growing and evolving scientific world and how does my academic studying is applied into todays engineering world.
Scientific interests : Now I am starting to pursue my academic future in the field by working
on the understanding of the application of MXenes, a 2D structure of MAX
Phase, in Halide perovskite solar cells. It interest me the way that
applying different materials into the matrix of the perovskite can
entirely change the electrical properties, magnetic properties and how
it affects such a growing phenomenon such as solar cells. In our lab,
we're trying the figure a way to implement a more environmental friendly
solar cell and thus make our little world a slightly better place using
the magnificence of science. Another field that interest me is the
theoretical side of the Electromagnetic theorem, I first encountered the
subject in a course I took at University and it blow my mind how such a
difficult subject is structured in such a simple and organized way and
nowadays I am tutoring that course.
